DEATH AFTER A FALL.
AX ELDERLY MAKINEU. The death of Edward Ross Campbell ■occurred at the Auckland Hospital shortly before midnight yesterday. Deceased fell off a ladder on to the deck of a scow lying alongside the wharf, striking the planking on his head. Deceased wae a mariner, and little iras known about him at the time of his injury. Now it is understood that he •was a married man. whose home was at 35, Ariki Street, Grey Lynn. He was an elderly man. and 'had previously been hurt by a fall. The accident occurred on Tuesday evening, and he was taken to the hospital yesterday, where an operation was performed. The inquest ie being held this afternoon.
