MOTOR CARS HELD UP. HARD WORK CARRYING STONES. , (Tleceived 12.r.i> p.m.) LONDON, September 7, While Mr. Lloyd George was motoring nt Inverness his party came to a narrow stretch of country road where a steam roller had broken down. The motor cars were unabie to pass \mtil twenty, yarde of the road had been mended. ■ Mrs. Loyd George, Sir Ilamar and Lady ' Greenwood, General Macready, and two other members of the party, assisted to carry stones. The Premier, perspiring freely, admitted it was the hardest spell of work he had done for a long time. ■ After three-quarters of an hour's delay the. journey was resumed. — (A, and N.Z, Cable.) I . I
