LONDON WOOL SALE.
STRONG COMPETITION. fHeceived 11 a.m.) LONDON, September 7. At the Bawra wool sale a large selection of merinos met strong competition, France and Germany buying a good deal. Prices were very firio, but scoureds were in sellers' favour. Crossbreds were firm and unchanged. The quantities for the October wool sales have been raised to 150.000 bales, of which Bawra will offer 72,000, free Au*i tralian 22,000, New Zealand 37,000, Puntas 15.000, and the Cape 2,500.—(A. end N.Z.
