AUCKLAND MANUFACTURERS.
ENTERPRISE AND EFFICIENCY. TRIBUTE FROM HON. E. P. LEE. "The opportunity I have had during the last few days of seefrig the factories? of the industries of Auckland has enabled mc to gauge their extent and up-to-dateness," said the Hon. E. P. Lee, Minister of Industries and Commerce, to a "Star" reporter prior to his departure for Wellington to-day, "and I am very well impressed with all that I have been privileged to see. Auckland, like Christchurch and Dunedin, two large industrial centres of the Dominion, possesses some fine factories, and the enterprise of the proprietors and the skill and efficiency of their mechanics and workmen, are deserving of high commendation. T feel sure that if representative exhibits from the Auckland factories are sent to the Industrial Exhibition to be held in the Town Hall in Wellington when the parliamentary session commences, the members of Parliament and the public who see them will be agreeably surprised at the high class and variety of good? produced in their own country.''
