The address of the Hon. E. P T ee Minister of External Affairs, at the Auckland Chamber of Commerce la-t night was attended by about forty business men. the Minister's talk on Pacific Island trade being of a private nature It is understood that Mr. Lee gave a resume of his visit to the Island' recently, and the impressions that he formed, and suggested that it would be advantageous to Auckland business men to have representatives at the Islands who were fully conversant with local : trade conditions and prices. On the motion of the chairman, Mr. A. G. Limn s a vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Lee.' For bedding, blankets, sheetings, and • qiulte try the A.B.C. Stores, Karanga- i hape Road.
