Tho Auckland City Council doth herein- by Kpcc-lnl Order ordnln ns follows: 1. The short title of this By-law is "The Auckland City Tramways By-hnv." 2. This n.v-lnw shall come Into force on SEPTEMBER 10 1021. nnd shnll supersede and repeal nil previous by-laws in respect to Tramways, , 3. In the Interpretation of this By-law the following words shall have the meanings hereby assigned to them, respectively, unless thero is somethlnsc in the s»w>)ect matter or In the context re-pugnant, to, or Inconsistent with such meaning;— "Council" means tho Auckland City Council, "Department" means the Tramways Department of the Council. No person shall take into or upon any tramcar any luggage which will, in the opinion of the conductor, interfere with the comfort of other passengers or impede any ollicer or servant of the Department in the execution of hi* duties. HI. No person*, .shall in any way wilfully impede or interfere with the traffic on the tramway, or so as to prevent any tramcar from proceeding at its oTdinary rate of .speed. 14. No person shall in any way wilfully obstruct any person desiring fo enter or leave any tramcar, or impede or obstruct any conductor or officer of the Department in the execution of Ills duty. 15. Any person offending against or committing a breach of any of the provisions o£ this By-law may. it travelling In or upon a tramcar, be removed, therefrom by or under the direction of the conductor and shall also be liable to a penalty not exceeding 40/ for each offence, and he shall in addition be liable to pay to the Council the amount of any loss or damage he. may have occasioned.
