AUCKLAND SCHOOLS.
XEW SUBURBAN BCTLDIXGS. « Two new schools under the control of the Auckland Education Board are to be opened by the Minister of Education this week. The first, is the infant school at Manurewa, which will form the nucleus of what will eventually be the new main public school in the township. At present the new building is confined to two fine class rooms in brick built on modern hygienic lines, the building being made the more imposing by a tile roof. There is ample space for enlarging the school in the future and thus absorbing the pupils from the present main school. The contractor is Mr. T. W. Bell, and the cost £2275. The Minister will perform the official opening on Thursday. On Friday the Minister -will visit Waitakere and open the small wooden school which has been built there. It is of one class room and a porch onlj% and the contract price of Mr. T. Wilson is £987.
