RICH ORE STRUCK.
IN" WAITAIA MINE. (By Telegr'.ph.-Own Correspondent.) WUIHI, this day. It is reported that rich ore has been struck in the Wnitaia mine, at Kuaotunu. Some of the stone is said to be very rich. Prospectors have been at I work on the claim for some time on behalf of a well-known Thames -mining man and an Auckland business man. The Waitaia mine was originally pegged out shortly after the Try-fluke mine was discovered at Kuaotunu. Some years later it was acquired by an English company. More recently the mine was purchased by Mr. H. 11. Adams, in conjunction with .Air. E. Bond. The manager (Mr. R. Tnglis) recently wired j for Mr. Adams to come and inspect a new development, and it is understood some of the stone got out showed bindabs of gold. As the Waitaia is in , slate formation, the possibilities of I tlie property vrerc always considered favourable by mining men."
