(To the Editor.) Sir,—l am, in common with, I suppose, everybody outside the Rugby Union officials, anxiously waiting f«*r the Mayor or someone to call a meeting of the long suffering public re the; decree of holding the first match of the .Springboks with combined Auckland at Eden Park. I wonder what the Auckland Rugby Union is doing in this matter. They are the people to deal with the N.Z. Union. No wonder League flourishes in Auckland, with suoh a committee controlling the amateur Rugby iJnion of Auckland.—l am, etc., ' SCORING BOARD. (To the Editor.) oir,—With reference to tlie above, and the letters appearing thereon in Tuesday's issue, I, along with probably thousands of other football enthusiasts, think that the Rugby Union officials have made a mistake in the selection of the ground. Surely suoh wwrfchy exponents of the game should have of our beat. The Domain ground is the ideal one. It is central, has 'beautiful istUTroundirngs, can accommodate the crowds and everyone can see. Eden Park cannot lay oMm to any of these advantages. . To my mmd—l may be wrong—-the decision lias been purely one of £ i. d., but I would suggest the public be shown some consideration. Trusting that the officials *A*ill yet direct as -to ihhe Domain on Saturday week.—l am, etc-, H. WALKER. (To the EtlKor.)
