YOUNG BURGLARS SENTENCED
OFFENCES rN AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON-, this day. In the Supreme Court three youthsLeo Patrick Ellison, Charles Xorris, and Herbert Rowland Crawford —appeared for sentence for a series of offences of breaking and entering, chiefly private dwellings, in Auckland and Wellington. It was stated that Xorris. who had been in trouble before, was arrested in Auckland. He was not so much criminally inclined as weak in resisting influence. Norris and Ellison were sentenced to six months' imprisonment, with a recommendation that they should be transferred to ■ the Borstal or other industrial institution. William Strath, for theft of a money-belt from a bathroom, was sentenced to reformative treatment for two years.
