ZOO QUESTION.
(To the Editor.) ■Sir. —Docs the majority rule? According to statements in court 'Mr. Boyd had a majority of affidavits signed "by residents in close proximity to the Zoo. yet the minority ruled in that case. 1 have seen zoos in England, one, namely Clifton Zoological Gardens, situated in the most fashionable part of Clifton, and is kept up by the residents surrounding the zoo, who look upon it as a point of education for the children. In the vicinity of the Koyal Oak Zoo there are several cows kept by neighbour that are very much more annoying than lions roarini£. In this opinion I am sure many residents will agree with mc. Does it not seem a fair proposition that the public of Onehunga should have a voice in the matter, and have a vote for a Zoo or no Zoo?—I am, etc., BRITISH LION.
