(To the Editor.) Sir,— Hopes of finding the missing steamer Canastota shonld not be abandoned. You "will remember the case qf. the Perthshire, also the Monowai, adrift in the Tasman Sea. Both these vessels were located after a long search, the Perthshire being picked up after a long drift near Norfolk Island. 1 am, etc., S. A- SHAW.
