THE THIRD TEST MATCH.
TWENTY-EIGHT POINTS TO NINE.

The South African Rugby team de-featf-d New South Wales yesterday in the third test by 28 points to 0. The latter never looked like turning the tables on the victorious ".Springboks.' The match was played on a greasy ground, but in excellent weather, the eun shining seemingly for the "Springboks."'
The New South Wales team was the same as njet the visitors previously. The "Springboks'" team was:—G. Morkel, Dumeyer, Clarkson, Strauss, Zeller, J. Mchau, Tindall, W. Morkel, Mostert, Ellis. R. Morkel, Siedel, Duplessis, Kruger, H. Morkel.
Dume3'er, who played in place of Van Heerdren, opened the visitors' account after sprinting from the quarter-way flag. Mostert, from a forward rush, added another try. 0. Morkel failing to convert cither of them. McKay crossed for New South Wales after the "forwards carried play down the field, Mingay failing to convert. Strauss immediately replied by kicking a goal from the field, making the scores at the interval: — South Africa, 10; New South Wales, 3.
The second spell opened the "Springbok" forwards dominating the play, although there were several fine pass-ing rushes by the blue tbreequarter line. The visitors defended strongly, and solid nick work carried play on to the New South Wales line, where Kruger obtained the ball in the loose and crossed. G. .Morkel converted. The "Springbok" pack continued to crowd their opponents, who seemed impotent against the attacks. Royle Morkel obtained.the ball near the-line and fell across, the try not being converted. Then two tries were scored in quick succession by Ellis and Clarkson, and both were converted by G. Morkel, leaking the scores:—South Africa, 28; Xew South Wales, 3. A penalty for offside play given against a green player on the "Springbok" line gave Nothling an opportunity to kick a goal. Sheehan, who played consistently throughout, obtained the ball from a line-out at half-way and, dodging through the opposing backs, he scored a brilliant try, which was the gem of the match. iMingay failed to convert, making the final scores: —
