DESTROYED BY FIRE.
HOUSE AT ST. HELIER'S
A house at the corner of Lombard Street and Vale Road, St. Helier's Bay, was completely destroyed by a fire that broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning. It was a five-roomed buildin" belonging to Mr. W. H. Philip, of 20, Arcadia Road, Epsom, and at the time of the fire it was untenanted. The Rev. W. Harvey, who intended taking up residence there, had moved his furnittre into the house on the previous day. This furniture was all consumed by the flames, which had gained a strong hoid before the residents around were "aware that a fire had occurred, and their effort* to save anything were unavailing.
