REPORT OF OPERATIONS, The anni"> 1 meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Football League will be held, for the fast time in Auckland, at the League Booms, Swanson Street, this evening. The annual report and balance-iiueet will be read and discussed. The balance-sheet, already published in the "Star," shows a creellt of £7«S 5/8 on the year's workings. The annual rejport states that arrangements have been made to send a .New Zealand representative team to Australia during the forthcoming season. This is the trip for triangular games in Sydney -preliminary to the Australasian tour of England. On the conclusion of the matches in •Sydney the team will proceed to Queensland, there to play further matches, including three tests, at Brisbane. Tbe Council of Management has also invited a Queensland representative team to visit New Zealand towards the close of the season. The annual conference of referees ln Wellington passed several resolutions, which have since been approved by the council. They are twelve in number, and relate principally to a conference of referees this year with the object of reviving the N.Z.R.A.: the annual meeting of tbe League to be held henceforth In Wellington; creation of a fund to promote school football; the control by each affiliated League of its own fixtures with Queensland: and several other decisions relating to the selection of the Nfew Zealand team for Sydney. „The report congratulates the Auckland League upon its new ground. Carlaw Park, and refers to the loan of £700 promised to Auckland by the New Zealand Council, which has already paid over £500 of that sum. The report further states that the Council has realised the necessity of Leagues acquiring grounds and making them selfsupporting, and recommends to the incoming council a continuation of a policy of assistance to the various Leagues tnroughout the Dominion. Reference is made to the formation of the South Auckland League, with head-i|iiarn-rs in Hamilton, and also to the resignation through pressure of personal affairs of the secretary. Mr. H.
