Amongst the preliminary census return? the population of Te Kuiti borough is <fiven as 2240, an incrpase of 258 on the returns for 1910. The census of the. Newmarket borough ; orives a total of 30b4' (1513 males and I 1.771 female), a* compared with 2863 in 1916, an increase of 221. Rotorua town district census give a total of 3,586, an increase of 1,041.
