WOOL PRICES FIRMER. ANOTHER DROP IN BUTTER. /Received 12.50 p.m.) ■LONDON, April 21. The Bradford wool market shows an Improved tone and a hardening tendency. Merinos topuiakers are stiffening. Quotations:— Wheat is slow of trade, and a'! prices are tending easier. Australian, ex store, is offering at Sl-'C. Flour.—The market is dull. Australian, 67,0. ex store. Barley.— The market is quiet. Australian Chevalier. OS/ to 70/. Oats.— The market is arm. Australian, ex quay, 38/; New Zealand, 43/ to 45/. Beans ami Peas.—The market Is quiet and unchanged. Sugar. — Prices are easier. Granulated, 08/0. The AlLßussinn Co-operative Society of Buyers for the Soviet Government, learning that the cost of Australian coal will be 83/ to 90/. ci.f.. at Baltic ports,- consider the price prohibitive. Butter.—The market is quiet, the trade expecting Government to reduce prices, as the London price of Danish has been lowered by 10/ to 15/. to 230/,-' 233/ per cwt., and a further decline is probable. Cheese.—The market Is firm. It Is believed Government stocks have been cleared. Probably the price of coloured will decline shortly, as four New Zealand steamers will be due at the end of the month.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
