NELSON BAND CONTEST.
<To the Editor.) Sir.—Dnring the band contest recently hold in Kelson I had the satisfaction of accommodating the Auckland City Band, and it gives mc great pleasure in sarins: that uo body of better sports or gentle" men of character over represented your fair city. You will readily understand that to mc it was a very trying time having my accommodation taxed to the utmost, but I was greatly assisted by the men, who were fully aware of the L-ircumstances. Again I" say they were a credit to your city.—l am, etc., T. U. BREXXAN. Nelson.
