(Received 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 27. Advices from Pinehurst. where the Southern golf championship is to be held state "that Kirk Wood and East, the Australian golfers, have arrived. A large group of well known, professionals and amateurs has already ; there for practice matches. The championship tournament will begin on Friday with morning and afternoon matches of '36 holes each, for two days The professional McLeod. who won ] as t year, had a score of 293 for 144 holes The first nrize consists of a gold medal and probably a 4000 dollar purse.
