MANCHESTER UNITY.

OFFICERS ELECTED. The Auckland district of the Manchester Unity Order of pddfellows concluded their annual conference on Friday. With reference to the opening of juvenile lodges, it was decided to refer the matter to the management committee. In order to further propaganda work it was urged that country secretaries be given the opportunit3' of attending the district office to b<? instructed in lodge bookkeeping.

Juvenile I.oilges. —It was decided to use the funds now in hand of the juveniles to promote the opening of juvenile lodges in the Auckland district.

Thomas, W. Dean. W. McMillan, F. A. Smith, A. D. Young, W. MeGuire, W. Simmonds; arbitration committee, Bros. T. Aitken, W. Perry, C. Ruge, F. A. Smith, F. J. Wheatley, W. Thomas. W. McMillan, W. J. Edwards, R. H. Killip, L. J. Wilkinson, H. Stewart, P. A. Syere.

The following officers were nominated for 1922-23:—District grand master, Bro. W. J. Keels; deputy grand master, Bros. V. A. Syers, W. "J. Edwards, W. J. Clarke, H. H. Bushell, R. H. Killip; flistrict secretary, Bro. John McLeod; district treasurer, Bro. John Clark; district warden, Bro. F. X. Bushell.

The following officers and deputies frere nominated for the next meeting of the Biennial Moveable Conference to be he!d> in Christchurch in 1922:—Grand master, Bro. W. R. Gahagan; deputy grand master, Bro. Thomas,Aitken: directors, Bros. T. Aitken, F. A. Smith, W. Mcmillan, W. Dean; deputies, Bros. H. A. Whitaker, S. H. Morgan, W. McMillan C. H. Ambridge, W. Perry, F. A. Smith, T. Aitken, John McLeod, W. Ryan, A. J. Pople, C. G. Tyke, W. Simmonds, W. J. White, W. J. Edwards. The motion that rules be amended to permit of dietriet conferences being held at centres other than Auckland, and that the next conference be held at Hamilton met with the support of the meeting. A handsome gold watch and jewel was presented by Bro. S. H. Morgan, the retiring district grand master, to the newly-elected district grand master in recognition of his term of office, 23 years, as district warden. Bro. S. H. Morgan was honoured with the degree of past district grand master and a past district grand master's regaKa and jewel was presented to him.
