■ » i There was tjuite a rush upon the Arms Registration Depot at the Police Station to-day, this being the end of the month's grace given to holders of weapons. Among the many thousands of revolvers and guns registered was the one used by CafTrey and Perm in the famous Great Barrier murder in ISBS. The weapon, aftpr being used in the shooting ol Richard Taylor, was sold to a well-known Auckland man for a paltry three shillings. When he hunted for'it atfew days ago he was unable to find it. and consequently a !>itch in the registration has occurred. Another revolver owner was also in a dilemma, having lent the, weapon to a friend for a couple of days. He was assured that the man holding the "gun" was the party responsible for its registration.
