YOUNG HOUSEWIVES.
BAKERS" EXHIBITION RESULTS. , The awards have been made for the school girls' competitions vrhich took place on the opening day of the master bakers' exhibition at the Town Hall recently. Interest in the demonstration lapsed somewhat this year, this being attributed to the holidays and the indifference of the teachers. However, the work of the few competitors was a good criterion of the children's abilities and it is expected that at next year's exhibition the children's baking will be quite a feature. The awards were: — Brfv.d.—Sadie McSporran, 1, Lena Scansie 2. Edna .Rapulpr 3.
