The comparative Public Wonks iFuei statement, gazetted yesterday, for <&• quarters ending December 31, 1919 and 1020 respectively, show that the balance at the beginning of the last December quarter was £612,943, as against £406,46-2 at the beginning of th* December quarter, 1919: and feat, including the 'balances, the total receipt* -were £il ,985£48, and those for the 191* quarter £500.389. The debentures issued in the 1920 quarter totalled £1,050,000, as compared with £390,000 for the December quarter of 1919.
