BRUNNER MINE CLOSED.
TKOTJBI_B OVER A BHTDGE. GO"v-_*R_fMENT PROHIBITS USE. ("3y Telegraph.— Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, Thursday. Recently the Government decided to close the railway bridge from Brunner to the Brut-tier mine. As a result the bins are overflowing. As they are now holding 600 tons of coal the Brunner coalmine was compelled to close down last night. The company is prepared to haul coal across the bridge without danger to anyone, but the Railway Department will not permit it. Twenty men are idle, Mr. H. .E. Holland. M.P., wired the Minister of Railways on the matter on Monday and again last evening, but has had no reply.
