The I'nited States Navy Department has been informed that the Naval Court ! of Inquiry into the matter lias found that Lieutenant I-angdon was not to . blame in the matter, and that he was subjected to an unwarranted attack by the Japanese sentry. General Oi, in eha**ge of the Japanese troops, has warned his divisional staff officers that their sentries must use greater precautions to prevent similar incidents happening in the future. — (A. and N.Z.I
