COMMONWEALTH LOAN.
UNDERWRITTEN IN LOUDON. (Received il a.m.) LONDON, January 27. The report that the Commonwealth of Australia's loan for £5.000.000 has been underwritten is confirmed. It will bear interest at <5 per cent, will be redeemable 1031-4.1. and offered at £95.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
The Treasury has practically agreed to fund the Commonwealth £40,000,000 debt, but the rate of interest is not yet settled.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
