The "Daily News" states that the. Bpv. Peter Green, canon residentiary of Manchester, who recently refused the Bishopric of Lincoln, has been offered the Archbishopric of Melbourne. He says that he has been privately informed that he will receive the offer, but he has not considered the possibility of promotion to an Australian see. — (A. and N.Z.)
