MR. W. McMATH'S FUNERAL.

The interment of the remains of the late Mr. W. McMath took place yesterday at Purewa Cemetery. A short service was conducted at All Saints' Church, Ponsonby, by the vicar, the Rev. F. W. Young. Wreaths were sent by many private friends, also from the Auckland Cricket Association, committee of Leys Institute, Ponsonby Cricket Club, and the Canterbury Cricket Association. Amongst those present at the funeral were Rev. Isaac Jolly, of St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Mr. Fred. Earl, president of Auckland Cricket Association; Mr. J. W. Tibbs, headmaster of Auckland Grammar School, and Mr. Cecil Leys, president of Leys Institute. At the conclusion of the service in the church, the "Dead March in Saul" was played on the organ, and as the casket was 'borne to the hearse, the Roy Scouts Band played, "Abide with Me."
