- ON PRESENT SAY VALUES. (Received 0.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The High Court has delivered an important decision in the test case regarding the duties levied on imported Continental goods. The Customs Department has been levying upon what amounted to the pre-war face value of foreign coinage. Merchants contended tliat it should levy on the present-day equivalent values- of the goods in British money. The Court, by a majority, decided against the Customs Department. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
