RAILWAY APPEAL BOARD.
The Railway Appeal Board continued its Bitting yesterdty, the appeal of Mr. A. Augur, goods agent, Auckland, being introduced for the first time. This is based on the ground that the appellant was superseded on the D 3 classification list for 1919 by three other goods' foremen.
Mr. A. Bell appeared for appellant, while Mr. Jae. Mason represented the Department.
J. he evidence of Messrs. A. Duncan (late District Traffic Manager), Jno. Young (Assistant-Traffic Manager, Hngton), L. C. E. Hamann (Assistant Traffic Manager), J. J. Weir (goods agent), L. P. Pepperill (retired railway officer), G. Falla (late S.M., Auckland) and of the appellant was called.
The Board adjourned further consid eration of the case pending the produc tion of certain service records from Weilington.
Addressee of counsel will be taken after these have been produced.
