The Prime Minister said to-day that reference had be<*n made in some papers to sales of new loan stock at prices below the issue vahie of the loan. These transactions were all known to the Treasrry. and he hoped in a taw days to publish th« amounts involved. H* ccu'.d not, of course, divulge the names of persons concerned. It won hi be found, however, that the awount of sates was quite trifling compared wit'i tbe amount of the loan. An interesting feature of the loan flotation which had been reporced to him by the Treasury wa s the large number of men comparatively of small means who were taking an interest in the loan.
