SUGAR RESTRICTIONS.
ICIXG SUGAR PERMIT ABOLISHED. Restrictions on the manufacture and sale of icing sugar imposed in July last have been relaxed by the Board of Trade, effective until January 15 next.
Hitherto this commodity could only be manufactured from ordinary eugar by special permit from the Board. Xow anyone wiehing for icing sugar may take their allotment to the grinders and hare it ground.
The lifting of the embargo will not affect the amount of sugar allotted at present nor call for any increased output. It simply permits of turning ordinary sngar into icing sugar at the possessor's wish.
