OUR CROWDED HARBOUR.
SHIPPING ARRIVALS DURING MONTH. Arrivals in the harbour of Auckland for the month of November totalled 450 vessels of 272,035 gross tons. The Harbourmaster's report to the Harbour Board this afternoon showed that this figure indicated an increase over the corresponding period last year of 52.302 gross tons. Local coastal vessels included in these showed a decrease of 7234 gross tons.
The arrivals consisted of eighteen large cargo sixteen intercolonial or Island traders, sixteen coastal steamers, one Government steamer, one oversea sailing vessel, together with 413 local eoa-stal vessels.
The departures consisted of fifteen oversea steamers, fifteen intercolonial or Island traders, one Government steamer, sixteen coastal steamers, two intercolonial sailing vessels, together with 407 local coaejal vessels, making a grand total of 456 vessels of 247,447 gross tone.
