a VISIT OF AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION*-*. TEPID BATHS, MONDAY. Acting on the wireless message received yesterday from the Australian Olympic Team returning from Antwerp via America by the steamer Niagara, arrangements have been completed by the Auckland Centre, New Zealand Swimming Association, for holding carnivals at tbe Tepid Bath on the evenings of Monday and Tuesday next. 'Special Invitation races, handicaps, novelty events, and water polo figure on the programmes, particulars of which appear elsewhere in this issue, and nominations close with Centre members or the secretary today. Late entries for Tuesday night's gala will be received up till noon on Monday. Frank Beaurcpaire the famous Australian and British champion, who scored a memorable victory over Norman Ross last season, is a member of the team, also those splendid swimmers K. Kirkland, W. Herald, and Miss Lily Beaurepaire. The last-named Is the Australian lady champion diver and swimmer, and her meeting with Miss .P. Hoeft and Miss Edna Walrond should provide good contests. The Australian team will be invited to attend the civic reception tendered the American Davis Cup tennis team on TuesXLembers of the Centre and club officials are requeested to attend at His Majesty s Arcade on .Monday morning at 11 o clock. In order to make arrangements for meeting the visitors. V.M.C.A. CARNIVAL. The annual swimming carnival of the V M C A. Boys* Division was successfully held last evening at the Tepid Baths In VH—son Street, before a fair numoer or parents and boy friends. The entries were large and the competition good.
