CITY ELECTRICITY EXTENSION.
PIF-l-ULT—SS MAY BE OVERCOME. THINKS THE PRIME MINISTER. The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. J. H. Gunson, interviewed the Prime Minister this morning on the subject of the city's loan proposals, the one respeot'.ng which financial arrangements ewere especially discussed being the electricity extension loan of _000,000. On being seen later Mr. Mossey said in the course of conversation that he did not think it would be a very difficult matter to make arrangements which would enable the city authorities to carry on with the work they proposed to undertake. "That is as much a** I can say alboivt the matter at the present time," added the Prime Minister.
