TEE WEEK'S WORK THE FLOWER GARDEN. Give Hollyhocks liberal supplies of liquid manure. Sow seeds of Oolohiniuma Aauilec.ia3. Anemones, Ranunculus. Examino Rose tress for the loaf rollinej caterpillar. Handpicklng will check them. Spray for green fly with a nicotine solution. Use Lime Sulphur or Bordeaux for mildew or black sdol. Feod Sweet Peas in flower; keep the flowers closely picked. Clip Box edgings. Plant Zinnias, Salvias, Dahlias, Single and Double Chrysanthemums. Pinch out the tops of chrysanthemums already planted where they have not made a natural break. Keep seed pods removed from the Delphinium spikes; this will make the top of the spike as good as the bottom, stake and tie Dahlias, Chrysanthemums, Gaillardias, Cosmos, etc THE VEGETABLE GARDEN. Plant Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Cabbage, etc. Uso soot and lime freely on ground planted with Cabbage to minimiso the attacks of "fly." Finish cutting Asparagus; weed tho bed 3 and give liquid manure. Sow Dwarf, Runner, and Haricot Beans to nil requirements. Keop the hoe going freely amongst crops, especially Onions, Carrots, Parsnips. If Onion mildew appears spray v/ith Bordeaux or Lime Sulphur. Tomatoes must be kept sprayed, staked and tied.. Remove latoral shoots. Removo tho tips of Marrows, Meions, and Pumpkins to cause lateral growths. Lose no time in getting Carrots, Parsnips, and other crops thinned. THE FRUIT GARDEN. Spray Apples and Pears for codlin moth.
