Turner and Sons, Limited, report that the mar'.et is heavily stocked witb local apples which have fallen slightly in price for the choice lines, best Delicious being worth up to 16/ per case, others 0/ to 12/. best Stunners 10/ to 11/. others from 7/ to 1)/. Cooking apples, best quality, !)/ to 10/6; large quantities of inferior apples going through, selling at from 6/ to 9/6 per case. Choice Doughertys are sellng at up to 11/0, others from 8/6 to 0/6; Pride ot Australia. 9/ to 10/; Ballarats, 9/ to 10/3. Local lemons, heavy supplies, !)/ to 15/ per case. P. Barry 'Pears: Good condition, S/ to 12/; Winter Nelis, good condition, 12/ to 15/; poorer quality, 5/ to 8/. Island oranges scarce; 26/ to 2S/G per case. A shipment of Sydney fruit arrived during the week, choice mandarins realising from £1 to 26/; others, indifferent order. 12/ to IS/; pineapples, 17/ to 21/: passion fruit, 12/6 to 15/; Sydney oranges, 10 to 15/. Bananas are very scarce, and there are only a few inferior going through the market, a shipment being due from Fiji at the beginning of next week. Produce:—'Potatoes, 4/9 to 7/ cwt; swedes, S/6 to 9/7; kumaras. 2Jd per lb: rhubarb, 5/ to 9/ doz.; cauliflower, 2/ to 14/2 per doz.: cabbage. 1/11 to 12/6 per doz.; carrots, 1/ to 1/3 doz.; cucumbers, 5/ to 1/3 per doz.; parsnips, 1/1 to 1/6; lettuce 2/2 to 2/6 doz.; radish, 4d doz.; leeks, 41d to sd. Dairy Produce.—Eggs, 2/1* doz. to 2/2 1 .; butter. 1/4. to 1/7 lb. Poultry.—Hens, 5/11 to 10/; roosters 6/ to 10/6 each; ducks, 4/9 to S/.
