GOLF RULE AMENDMENTS.
STANDARDISING THE BALL. LONDON, September 30. New golf" rules standardising the weight of the ball at 1.620z and its size at l.(i2in, and making, the penalties for a ball out-of-bounds, an unplayable ball and a lost ball the same, namely, loss of stroke and distance, have been adopted by the Royal and Ancient Club of St. Andrew's, as a result of consultation with the American, Canadian, and South African Associations. Clubs will be permitted to make local rules regarding out of bounds. The new rules will apply from May, 1921.—("Times.'")
