FOUND ON TRAM LINE

VISITOR WITH FRACTURED SKILL. AND UNCONSCIOUS. • ' Tn an unconscious condition, suffering from a fractured skull, a visitor from Wellington, nampil Mr. William Tait, manager for New Zealand of the Globe Sewing Machine Company, was found at 7.30 last evening by a boy lyinjj across the tram rails in .lervois Road, Ponsonby, near the tram depot. The lad communicated with the tramway employees at that building, and the unfortunate man was removed to the Hospital, where he was operated on. His condition this morning was very serious, and he remained unconscious. lie is a married man, 36 years of age. The police have been unable to discover the cause of the man's injuries or any person who saw him before the boy who found him. Neither have they been able to locate the boy. It is surmised that Mr. Tait may have fallen from a tram car.
