It is reported that railwaymen intend to intervene in the direction of a settlement.— (A. and X.Z. Cable.) LEADERS NOT UNANIMOUS. SECTIONAL DISCUSSIONS. LONDON, September 22. After hearing Mr. Ninillie's annoiinccihent at the conference of minors' delegates to-day that the executive, of the federation did not consider that anything l'aj emerged during the conferences with .Sir Robert Home to justify the prevention of a miners' strike, the conference adjourned to enable the different sections to discuss the situation. Jt is believed that the miners' leaders arp not unanimous for a. strike. A deputation from the Women's Political League endeavoured to interview the conference and to present a petition protesting against a strike wliicli would indict untold suffering on millions of innocent women and children. The conference declined to admit the deputation, but received the petition.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
