MARRIAGE AMENDMENT.

P.P.A. RESOLUTION. The proposed .amendment to the marriage law was considered by the Auckland executive of the Protestant Political Association on Monday evening. The following resolution was carried: "That this meeting of representatives of groups of the Protestant Political Association expresses its satisfaction at the proposed amendment to the marriage law, as calculated to effect a needful reform, to protect the rights of citizens, and to uphold the supremacy of British law; it hopes that Parliament wilPgrve effect thereto, being convinced that the proposal does not infringe the rights and liberties of any section of the community."
