NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP. (By Telegraph Press Association.) WAXGANL't, Saturday. In connection with the sculling race to take pla;-e on the Walrau Hiver between J. W. llanii.ii] and W. Fogwell, the former has communicated with W. Webb. Wanganul, asking him if he will permit the race to involve the sculling championship of New Zealand. He says he understands that Webb does not propose to race again. So far Webb his not replied. Hannan was the last man to row Webb, and was beaten easily, his knee giving way during the early part of the race.
