LAND "AND INCOME TAX.
• A NEW LOAN BILL. STAMPS AND DEATH DUTIES. (By Telegraph WELLINGTON, this day. The session is about half over, but the most Government bills are just about to appear. There is a good week's work on the order paper, and the Premier informs your correspondent that he expects to be able to introduce an important amendment to the Land and Income. Tax Act about the end ot the week. Contrary to the usual method, this measure has gone before a select committee before final drafting. It is to be submitted to the Public Accounts Committee during the. week, and will then come before Parliament. The next important hill will authorise necessary loans. It will be followed by an amendment of the Stamf Duties Act, providing for a moderate increase and higher gradations in death duties.
