Russell and Somers report that tbe Canadian Kxportcr sailed from Vancouver on August 18 for Auckland. Sue should arrive here on .September 17. ARAHURA'S MOVEMENTS. The Arahura left Napier for Gisborne at 7 o'clock .this morning, and will leave Gis'wrnb to-night. .She is due here to-morrow evening, and will berth at the King's wharf. MAHENO ON TUESDAY. The Mnheno left Sydney for' Auckland at 4.30 p.m. yesterday and should arrive here on Tuesday next. She is timed to sail for Sydney on Thursday. PArAROA AT PANAMA. The New Zealaml Shipping Company report that the Paparoa. which left Wellington on .the 2Sth July for London, arrived at Panama on the 23rd lust. RUATEHU DUE WELLINGTON TO-DAY. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Runpehu Is due at Wellington with passengers and cargo this afternoon. KAIKOURA FOR AUCKLAND. The Kaikourn left Sydney (New Brunswick) on the 10th Inst, for Auckland, via the Panama Canal. She should arrive here •n September 24. NORTHERN COMPANY NOTES. The Aupouri is now timed to leave OneIlunga for Hokianga at 10 o'clock on Monday morning. The Knnleri's departure for Whangarei is timed for 5 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. WEST HOLBROOK LEAVES 'FRISCO. Word has been received that the West Holbrook, tne third steamer of the General Steamship Corporation line to visit New -ealand, sailed from San Francisco on the 23th instant. KAIAPOI FROM MELBOURNE. The Kalapoi arrived from Melbourne yesterday with a general cargo. Including a quantity of explosives. She anchored at the powder ground to discharge these and wUI come Into port later. S-5W AMERICAN SERVICE. New Zealand agents have been appointed for the Steele Steamship Line, of Galveston, U.S.A., who handle the United States Shipping Board's vessels. It is expected that steamers of the Steele Line will be dispatched from Galveston to Australian and New Zealand ports in the near future. SUFFOLK NOON TO-MORROW. The Suffolk, which comes to. the agency Of tbe New Zealand Shipping Company, wirelesses that she will arrive here »t noon to-morrow rrom "Montreal. She will berth at the Queen's wharf. Her cargo Includes 1350 tons of general cargo for Auckland, and she will discharge as well at ■Wellington, Lyttelton, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. " THE RAKANOA'S PASSAGE. The Rakanoa, which arrived from Suva yesterday with a sugar enrso, met with Btormy weather on her journey. The first few days of the Journey were fine, nnd then fresh southerly wind and heavy seas -prang up. On Wednesday the wind increased to -a moderate gale nnd seas began to break over the vessel. They continued on the following day, until her arrival ■here. The vessel went over to Chelsea this morning to discharge her cargo of sugar. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The ketch Rlra arrived from Norfolk Island last night and berthed at the King's wharf early this morning.
