HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The vaudeville trials and theatrical competitions commence at His Majesty's Theatre to-night, and will be repeated on Monday. A large number of entries have been received for the various competition. and a successful night's programme seenu assured. The box plan after 1 p.m. will he on view at Coleman's, His Majesty's Arcade. "MOTHEB HUBBARD." The story of "Mother Hubbard," is the third pantomime that Messrs .1. anil X. Tait and Bailey and Grant have produced in Australia, and with such a "live wire" as Barry Lupino as producer and Dame, the management promise theatregoers an entertainment without a dull moment. No story of Mother Hubbard would be complete without the "dog." and William A. Hassan nl's this role to perfection as '-Bully." In Jack Cannot, as "Father Hubbard," Dorothy Leigh, as principal boy. Daisy Yates, as principal girl; F.lsie Varices. as Premiere Dansense, Mooa and Morris, and the Creiirhtons, for specialities, with lots of wonderful littlo people as fairies, gnomes, elves, and goblins, make up what appears to he a strong cast for tho forthcoming attraction. Box plans fdr the tlrst six nights and a matinee will be opened on Wednesday, at Wili'nian and Arty's. The Auckland season commences on Saturday next, at His Majesty's Theatre. BRITANNIA THEATRE. The leading feature of the programme is "The Spender," in which Bert Lytell is the star. VICTORIA THEATRE. DEVONPORT. Norma Talmadge is the star In the photoplay. "De Luxe Annie," which wi" be screened this evening. " CAIRO " BRADLKT'S LECTURE'S. Air. W. Bradley delivered another illuminating address in the Town Hall last evening. The lecturer based his remark* on the text: "All manner of sins and' blasphemy against the 'Holy GJiost shaH never lip forgiven, neither in this world nor in the world to come."
