WELL-KNOWN AFRICAN'S DEATH.
SYDNEY, August 27. Mr. Frederick T. Nicholson, of Pretoria, was taken ill on returning from a holiday trip to New Zeahxnd and died 'suddenly from heart failure just after landing. He was a prominent Transvaaler and a member of the South African Parliament until recently, when he resigned. Previously he was private secretary to President Kruger, and later to General Botha. He was prominently , connected with Methodism and the Young Mien's Christian (A. and i N.Z. Cable.) 1
