WIRELESS TO BRITAIN.
A COMMERCIAL SCHEME. (Received 11.30 a.m.*' SYDNEY, this day. Sir Thomas Hughes (chairman of directors of the Amalgamated Wireless, Limited, informed a mooting of shareholders that the company has undertaken to have direct service between England and Australia within two years. It has offered to handle all classes of messages at one-third of the existing rates and to give the Commonwealth 25 per cent of the profits. It would also hand over stations to the Government free of payment nt the end of a term of years.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
