ATTACKS ON TROOPS. A MAYOR'S KTTNGEH- STRIKE. (Received lv a.m.i LONDON, August 22. Raidirs ambushed a military patrol i at Ballyvournev, killed an oflicer, and' I wounded four soldiers. A large armed ! party held up thirty soldiers in a motor; 'lorry at Anascau'l, West Kerry, and] disarmed soldiers, after a sharp fusillade. ( Four soldiers were wounded. Mr. McSwceney. Lord Mayor of Cork, was sentenced by court-martial to two j years' hard labour. Mr. Mi-Sweeney continues his hunger-strike in Brixton j ' prison, and declares that he will persist j regardless of consequences.
