FIRE IN WELLINGTON.
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH BURNED. VALUABLE LIBRARY DESTROYED (By Telegraph—l Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. St. Andrew's- Presbyterian Cbm_h, in Wellington Terrace, a handsome -wooden i building, erected in 1878, was destroyed ' by fire this morning, only the four waflg f being left standing. I wind was blowing, but fortunately )_a»» rain fell, and the brigade was abi e £ prevent destruction of a large hall at rear of the church. The roof of the h_] was burned, and a good deal of damage was done to the building by water. ~"^ The Rev. Robertson Orr, minister of St. Andrew's. is a heavy loser by the fire. Half his large library, which was in o __, of the church rooms, was reduced to asbes, and other books in his fine collection were destroyed in a fire which seriously damaged the church hall laßt year
