OLD BOYS' REUNION.
1 FAST FTTPH-S' KING'S COLLEGE. ANN LAI, DINNF.R. The past pupils of tbe Kings College held their annual dinnw in the Town Hall inpner room on Saturday evenine. The bw-ge' gathering was presided over by Mr. i T II Damwn, president of the Old Boys' 1 .Association. Amongst the guests were Mr J M. Colljrae, Dr. H. D. Biirnfor.'.. ! i'rofessor H. S. Dcttmano. and Messrs P. H. Cptoii. D. R. C. Mowbray, and .1 M. Carpewtor. Re-Tpondine :.. the toast "The Old 1 -Vhool " proposed by the diairman, Mr. flollvn-s said that he believed King's to be a school that would make its boys men. who could win and conquer. The toast of "The Board of Ooveruors" was given by Mr A. M. Hume. Dr. H. D. P.ainford. re-plvlng. referred to the heailmssrer's desire that th<> college be converted from a private to a public school, and expressed bis sympathy in sucn ;l move being made. Other toasts were: -Kindred Associ.'i- ' lions," proposed by Professor Dettmanu, aud replied by Mr. .1. N. Itlshworth. on behalf of Nelson College, and Mr. F. J Rasther on behalf of Otago Bo.tr- nigh School; "Absent Boys," pTopose.l by tfr. Dove: and -The Masters." proposed by Mr. Mowbrav. ajid responded to -by Mr. H. B. Lush. A musical programme of vocal iLems by Mr. F. ITlsted. and Instrumental by Mr. Meredith's orchestra was rendered in title course of the evening.
